so good to see Rich Hickey on stage again: Welcome to Clojure/conj 2024
I'm also waiting for more videos uploaded for Clojure/conj 2024
Anthropic's computer use
copilot can use Claude 3.5 Sonnet
even with the new models, I still like Cursor's experience more
after switched to ollama, I quickly wrote a web client (with image support) using sonnet, it's quite scary how fast and easy to convert something from idea to a daily heavy duty tool
Uncle Bob has a new book: We, Programmers: A Chronicle of Coders from Ada to AI
I will read it after Composing Software
still waiting for Zach Tellman's new book: Explaining Software Design

just added oakmac/standard-clojure-style-js to the pipeline after watching Introducing Standard Clojure Style: no fuss code formatting
it's just one command
$ npx @chrisoakman/standard-clojure-style fix src/
Your Hacker News is exactly something I want to implement, I love the black and white look
I already have components ready: go-readability to get meta and html and a bb script pass it to ollama to get the summary
UI can just ask sonnet to generate a newspaper like grid design and fill in the content
but now I guess I can put it to a further low priority
a very good pager for diff, dandavison/delta: A syntax-highlighting pager for git, diff, grep, and blame output
can also pipe grep results to it but not that useful
install is simple:
$ brew install git-delta
then add to ~/.gitconfig
[core]
pager = delta
[interactive]
diffFilter = delta --color-only
[delta]
navigate = true
light = true
[merge]
conflictstyle = zdiff3
use diff -u .. | delta
for non-git diff
cursor is so good, I don't have much motivation to try using llm on Emacs yet, but I think it's promising: gptel: Mindblowing integration between Emacs and ChatGPT
I learned some tricks from DuckDB over Pandas/Polars

a cool tool: adam-james-v/badspreadsheet: A Clojure Spreadsheet for building design tools.

this reactive html notebook is very similar to my notebook, also mainly pure js and html
my notebook is more static and use more web components, it's a lot to learn about from this notebook
author also packaged it as a library: @celine/celine
spent some time on last weekend to execute the idea of newspaper grid layout for newsfeed
I wrote a python script instead of using go-readability, more flexible
llama 3.2 work reasonably well on mac mini, just need to queue requests and pay attention to the context limit
I use CSS Grid Generator to get the css, and add htmx-get
to each div
, an api to return html template by request parameters, then pipe the article to ollama for summary, very simple
I found this talk interesting: What if Kubernetes Was a Compiler Target?
it's the true infrastructure as code, no more yaml please
after reading RE: your application environment variables, I would like to adopt the idea of using env vars as flags
